Oxybooster O2 Shield is a boiler fuel additive , that extends the life of Pressure Parts by reducing the corrosion and erosion to its surface , due to presence of moisture , metallic oxides as well as contamination in the available boiler fuel.
Configuration & its appearance
Supreme’s O2 SHIELD is a 100% Natural Bio material , non toxic , non reactive , with no chemical added , free from any inorganic substances with reasonable moisture and Gross Calorific value in the range of 4000 +/- 300 Kcal/kg.
It is safe to use as it is ,can be handle with bare hands and it will not cause any skin irritation/ allergy. It is configurated with different bio waste wood material and agglomerated with bio enzyme , with the particle size not more than 10 mm , and moisture not more than 20% .
What does O2 SHIELD do ?
O2 SHIELD , helps to reduce the heat losses due to excess moisture present in the fuel , by keeping the thermal equilibrium between the top and bottom bed temperature , which helps to keep the furnace temperature to optimum level.
As thermal equilibrium is being effectively maintained despite the excess moisture in the fuel , the metallic oxides formation due to minerals present in fuel , get neutralized in the furnace. Subsequently , the life of the pressure parts gets extended in all zones .
The Present Boiler user’s challenges
For obvious change in the demand of fuel with respect to its supply and quality, any deviation in parameters of the fuel , beyond the standards , causes unplanned and lightening breakdowns . This can result in unfathomable losses – from the fuel , to the raw material in process , to failure of
process , to name a few.
Also , due to unforeseen shut downs and breakdowns , the capital and revenue budgets gets disturbed , resulting in heavy drop in profits .
Continuous use of O2 SHIELD , as per the suggested rate of feeding with respect to quantity and time , can overcome these challenges effectively.
Key Benefits
- It extends the life of pressure parts to its designed and rated life, by preventing its deteoration, caused due to metallic oxides and subsequent erosion and corrosion .
- Maintain the ability of the boiler to operate consistently, round the year , to its optimum design output parameters irrespective of the varying quality of fuel with respect to moisture , GCV, fines , volatiles etc.
- Reduce the loss in combustion efficiency due to effect of excess moisture and fines .
- Reduce the unburnt carbon in ash , which will reflect in the reduction of Loss of Ignition.
- Substantial reduction in ash quantity which will reduce the heat losses due to excessive soot blowing .
- As the heat transfer in pressure parts gets its designed rate of transfer by reduction in formation of metallic oxides and maintaining thermal equilibrium in the furnace will drastically reduce scale formation in Bed Coils and Super heater coils.
Present fuel related challenges faced by Boiler users
- With the deteriorating quality and in-consistency of the fuel available to the boiler users , innumerable problems are being faced at the customer end not withstanding the increasing demand and supply conditions of fuel , enforce the customer to accept whatever is being received.
- Having received non energy bearing materials along with the fuel , the user faces critical , technical problems in combustion chamber and pressure parts . The result of which is reflected in the operations and maintenance aspects of the boiler and its auxiliaries , and inability to meet the process steam demand on the quality and quantity aspects of the steam .
